Quick and Delicious Granola Recipe

 

Crunchy, nutritious & delicious! Home-made Granola is a perfect breakfast to kick start your day with ENERGY. 

Why home-made? Well a lot of the pre-packaged granola in the supermarkets have hidden sugars & artificial ingredients in them! Plus, you get to be creative and add your favorite ingredients in them.

Note: you can replace the nuts and seeds with the ones you desire.

Servings: 10-12

Ingredients

  • 3 cups oats (240g) 
  • 1/3 cup olive oil or coconut oil (65g)
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup (100g)
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds (25g)
  • ¼ cup raw pumpkin seeds (30g)
  • ¼ cup raw sunflower seeds (35g) 
  • 1 tsp cinnamon 
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: dried cranberries to add in the end

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180̊ C and prepare a large sheet pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl mix the dry ingredients: oats, cinnamon, nuts & seeds
  3. For a better coating, add the honey & oil in a small pan & mix them under medium heat for one minute or until they are combined.
  4. Pour the honey & oil over the dry ingredients & mix well until they are combined.
  5. Spread the granola mixture on parchment paper into a thin layer
  6. Bake in the oven for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool down for about 10 minutes.
  8. After that break it up into small pieces and store in an airtight container for upto one month
  9. If you wish, add the dried fruits after you finish baking and cooling down
  10. Top it on Greek yogurt or milk or make them into bars for an on the go snack!
